Tcherikover, Avigdor
(1894-1958)
   Israeli historian of Russian origin. He settled in Palestine in 1925 and became professor of ancient history at the Hebrew University. He published studies of the Jews in Palestine and Egypt during the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
